Video Production

Creating travel videos to enjoy and remember the experiences years later has always been a passion of mine.

My wife and I are documenting our recent RV travel experiences in our vlog called Home A Roam. Check out the trailer here:

We also produced an entire mini-series documenting our trip to French Polynesia. It was shot using the GoPro Hero 7 Black and a DJI Mavic Air.

Music Production

After taking formal piano lessons at a young age, I didn’t really find my passion for music until I started to produce music with software called ScreamTracker, and created a (now defunct) website to help other digital musicians showcase their music.

More recently, I’ve been using a DAW called Reaper and a wide range of plugins, including Komplete.

Flying

I started learning to fly while living in New Zealand in 2009 and received my private pilot’s licence (PPL) in 2010.

This allows me to fly small airplanes like the Cessna 172 or Diamond DA20. I also have my Seaplane rating, which opens up the possibilities to planes like a Cessna 185 on floats, or even an ICON A5.

Travel

I’ve visited and experienced the unique cultures of over 25 countries.

Some of my favorite destinations in the world are Hawaii, New Zealand, and France.

Photography

While living in the Caribbean, my favorite activities included free diving and underwater photography.

Politics

I’m reminded of this timeless quotation:

It’s an important skill to be able to discuss and debate politics (in a polite, respectful way, of course 🙂).

I once ran as a candidate in a provincial election.

I write articles about politics, and even created a wiki called The Lean Party to organize some of my ideas for discussion and debate.
